Protean Design Group is currently designing the improvements to this roadway corridor which include widening the existing four lane roadway to provide a landscaped median and bike lanes. The widening portion of the project will result in modification to the existing closed drainage system as well as permitting through South Florida Water Management District. The project also includes replacement of existing strain pole signals with mast arms and the design of a continuous lighting system throughout the corridor.
